Overview

The Self Service portal provides the option to customize your Self Service portal with a Header; here you can specify custom header HTML and CSS Style Sheets for consistency with Self Service appearance.

Please Note: Email Template style syntax can be used within the Header and Footer to reference properties available on the Article being displayed.

Guidance

Navigate to the Admin Area > Self Service > select the Self Service Portal (if you have more than one) > Appearance > Header

Render Default Nav Bar - Tick the box to enable the navigation bar on as default.

Use Inverse Nav Bar Colors - Tick the Box to use the Inverse nav bar colors.

About the Nav Bar - By default, the Vivantio Self Service Portal renders with a nav bar at the top of the screen, with your logo in it and  drop down menu, to allow users to access their profiles and log out.

If you are heavily customizing the look and feel of your portal, you may want to disable the nav bar and build your own using the custom HTML editor.

Nav Bar Height - Set the navigation bar height here, a minimum of 60px is recommended and can be extended for large Company Logos.

Logo URL - Upload your Company Logo to appear in the top left hand corner of the Self Service screen.
