Overview

The Integration Services Component is an application that you install on your own servers to connect your local systems to the Vivantio SaaS Platform. It allows you to schedule tasks to pull data from, or push data to, your Vivantio SaaS Instance.

Vivantio Integration Services currently allows three types of task to be created:

Active Directory Synchronization
Asset Synchronization
Scheduled Data Exports

Do you have a Proxy Server?

If your organisation uses a Proxy Server to access the internet then it may be necessary to configure the Integration Services Component to use the proxy when sending data to Vivantio through the integration tool. Please raise this with your implementation consultant or with the Vivantio support team if that is the situation, so that we can work with you to configure the ISC appropriately.

Are you upgrading to a newer version of the ISC?

If you are upgrading to a newer version of the Integrated Service Component we recommend you take a back up of the *.sdf file which by default will be installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Vivantio\Integration Services.

Guidance

Navigate to the Admin Area > Integration & API > Downloads > Integration Services

To download follow the steps in the Integration Services Set Up Wizard, clicking the next button to progress through the screens; this process takes one minute. Once downloaded, launch the Integration Services Set Up file and follow the on screen instructions.

Updating the ISC

The ISC version may automatically prompt you that a new version is available on launch, for example: 

You can also click the About button which will show your current version and may also prompt you that a new version is available:

Clicking the link for the new version will take you to the admin page. A Vivantio Admin needs to access the download file from the admin area link:

Admin > Integration & API > Downloads

Once you have saved the files, open the folder where you saved them and these now need to be run on the server where the ISC is already installed:

You may need to accept the Windows protection to run the file:

On clicking Next you may need to edit the file location to where the existing ISC is installed:

On installing you may need to close any files already open:

After finishing the install your previous tasks and config will remain, you may need to check any local user settings e.g. services running under a set account.


On the latest version the update message will no longer be visible:
